ABBEY Notre Dame de La
Roche |
 |
According to public knowledge, it was
built in the late 12th century to house a statue
of Mary the Virgin, unexpectedly dug out by a bull.
The retreat fell into decline from the 14th
century onwards until it was bought and restored by the
Levis-Murepoix family in 1850. In the mid 20th
century it was transformed in to a school for gardeners and
is now used as a training centre. |
