The national
museum of port Royal des Champs, set in the protected
restored “Little Schools” buildings, is dedicated to the
history of Jansenism, a religious trend of the 17th
and 18th century.
On the
grounds, the “Solitaries” would welcome their students and
followers among whom playwright Jean Racine. There, are
exhibited religious paintings by Philippe de Champaigne as
well as portraits and 17th century drawings.
